I sat on the balcony cloud watching - my favourite pastime. That day I wanted to add on a different element, to experience something new. The added activity was silence. I think it was one of the hardest things for me to do, sitting in silence, not humming to anything, making small talk - just sitting in the moment; looking, listening to my surroundings, and focusing on my emotions. 15 minutes felt like a long time then. My gaze followed a cloud in the sky as it moved slowly. I looked away to focus on a bird nearby but when I looked again, that same cloud had passed by! The present moment passes by us, so if we don't stay in it, we will miss it. I enjoyed the quiet moment, and the stillness helped me appreciate the surroundings more.

I managed to capture a brief hyperlapse video after that. Looking at it again made me wonder, how does it feel to live life on hyperlapse?

Have a great week!
